Technology Policies

All members within the Academy community are required to adhere to the following technology policies:

1. Respect copyright and other intellectual property rights, refraining from copying files or passwords belonging to others.
2. Utilize software in compliance with license restrictions.
3. Clearly and accurately identify oneself in electronic communication.
4. Adhere to proper security procedures, including maintaining the privacy of login and password information, regular password changes, and creating backup copies of essential files.
5. Use Academy technology and resources for the intended purpose of learning the course curriculum.
6. Cooperate with Academy investigations into technical issues or potential unauthorized or irresponsible use. Serious violations of these policies, at the sole discretion of the Academy, may result in immediate suspension of a student’s access privileges, disciplinary action, communication suspension, and other sanctions. Such violations include
7. • Sharing one’s login ID or password, or sharing another person’s login ID or password.
   • Distributing or making Academy content, software, or resources available to others.
   • Attempting to evade, disable, or “crack” passwords or other security provisions, or assisting others in doing so.
   • Unauthorized modification or damage to information, including altering data, introducing viruses, or damaging files.
   • Using Academy resources for unlawful purposes or any purposes not explicitly permitted by the Academy.
   • Posting or distributing any unlawful, threatening, obscene, profane, hateful, or objectionable material on the Academy website or to members of the Academy community.
   • Improper use of copyrighted or proprietary materials, unless express written authorization for online distribution is obtained from the author. Such content must be marked with copyright information, including the source, author, and year.
